Who's Attached? (Vol. 3 #2)

THINK YOU...

"If you're going to bring someone along, make sure that they fit your mood. If you're going to go along, alone, make sure your mood fits the destination..."

Where are we going nowadays? Where do our ambitions carry us to? How far is too far away in the eyes of life's journey? I personally know that I am seeking peace in my life. Fortunately, I have found rest - through my faith - over the years. Yet, I still want to be peaceably happy. I want to be totally secure in my finances, active in my community, engaged with all citizens and proactive with my gifts and abilities.

Though it may seem like a lot, it's really not. These are simply the elements of existence that we should be embracing on a daily basis, anyways.

Have you ever had that moment where you just needed a little extra boost in order to get something done? Ever had to get that word of encouragement from a very close friend as your source of motivation? I know that I have. When I marched in the Band at A&M, I loved going to Friday night rehearsals because I knew everyone would be extra "crunk" (excited, displaying high levels of enthusiasm) and it would push me to perform at my best and with way more intensity. This was a rush that made me feel complete as a bandsmen. It would not have been the same if I was rehearsing by myself.

Why have we developed into a people of solitude? I believe music and entertainment presented us with a facade that you have to get everything on your own and as a result: it has turned us into selfish people - rather than selfless people. And, that's unfortunate. Keep in mind, someone taught you the lessons of love, friendship, and how to learn. While someone also showed you the things that you don't care for in life whether it was intentional or not... So why do we believe that we should just do things on our own? Our power rests in our numbers. The village mentality.

Sure enough, I want you to stand our rather than fitting in. But, because we are each minute pieces of the same puzzle of life, from the same Creator - we shall never be complete until we are attached to those who compliment who we are.

As you move into the coming phases of your life recognize that you are what you eat. Ever noticed how eating certain foods leaves a lingering smell on your breathe? Well hanging around certain people has the same impact. We as humans are influenced by what we see and hear (another lesson). So, understand that whatever you keep around you consistently will eventually become your life. Surround yourself with positive, uplifting things and all will be well for you.

There is good in every situation, regardless of how bad it may seem. Choose your mood wisely...

LEARN YOU SOMETHING...

Regardless of how you feel about politicians, individually, it is very important that you know the stance of those who lead you. Here's the most recent live interview with President Trump, which premiered yesterday 6/25/2020.

SEE THIS...

(Highlight = In one day, the City of Mobile will waste, arguably, $906,824.05 - this is not counting the $6,195,471.40 being spent on pre-election season tactics to fool the Public.Nor does this include the $32,899 the City is charging Citizens to demolish homes. Yes you read that right. Basically, to sum it all up the City plans to spend $73,815 on 185 pairs of boots, while it only plans to spend $55,550 on much needed repairs for the Mobile Civic Center. We spent over $60,000 for a golf course tractor, last week. You do the math. When's the last time you checked on your Municipal Government? No wonder we don't have funds to support worthwhile initiatives in the community...)

SOUND ON...

Our Reflective Tones, for Vol. 3 #2, belongs to Michael Jackson - who died 11 years and 1 day ago (6/25/2009): They Don't Care About Us...

"S4TF" Moment...

In 2016, as "Success 4 the Future" looked to re-brand our marketing appeal, we understood that having our own insignia (logo, etc.) was imperative. Fortunately enough, we didn't have to look far for our designer. Justin Cole, a member of the "S4TF" Inaugural Class of Program Participants (2012) created the look that we all recognize today. From a high-poverty community in Alabama to becoming an Entrepreneur in California. This is what Success looks like. In 2017, Justin graduated with a Degree in Engineering from Alabama A&M University. All things are possible!

Create moments that not only endure a lifetime, but that also promote making the best of time - for your life.
